His storyThe Open Road Back to Self
Sometimes, to remember who we are, we have to step away from the noise of the daily grind and ride straight towards new horizons.
When Bryan found himself between chapters in his career, he decided to take a leap and embark on a three-month trip across Southeast Asia and Australia to reclaim his space, time, and sense of wonder. On his travels, he logged over 2,000 kilometers on a motorcycle, sleeping under open skies and reconnected with the raw pulse of the bigger world around him.
To celebrate this transformative chapter, we built an expansive illustrative story that weaves his most vivid memories with unbridled imagination: we have him looking out at the trip that changed his life, sheltered by a larger than life mushroom that represents his rediscovery of his inner childlike wonder.
Lying in front of him were the endless, winding bends of Chiang Mai’s Mae Hong Son Loop that he navigated, the rocks that he scaled in Ao Nang and the whale shark that he glimpsed gliding above him while diving in Terengganu.
Behind him was the tent that he pitched while camping in Australia with a little wallaby friend, his own motorcycle as a proxy for the open road rides there and little intimate details of his personal passions: a climber's helmet and rope for his love for bouldering and rock climbing.
By capturing the moments he felt most alive, a temporary sabbatical is now a daily permanent reminder of what truly matters whenever life demands a reset.
“Bernice transforms my mundane verbal recounting into epic landscapes that capture the essence of my lived experiences.
Each idea is a blind box that never fails to impress over the many years.”
Your story is worth telling.
Whether born from wild and transformative sabbaticals or the moments that brought you back to life, this is where your journey takes shape.
